Indiana walleye (with sauger and saugeye) limits

Indiana allows 6 walleye, sauger and saugeye a day in any mix. Walleye must be at least 14 inches south of State Road 26 and 16 inches north of it, with a few lake exceptions. Sauger and saugeye have no statewide minimum, and the Ohio River uses its own 6-fish, 14-inch rule.

Watch for

  • Sauger count toward the same 6-fish bag as walleye and saugeye.
  • Possession limit is two times the daily bag.
  • Know which side of State Road 26 you are on: it decides whether the walleye minimum is 14 or 16 inches.
